SARD has been running a programme in Deeg, Bharatpur for creating HIV/AIDS awareness among the out of school youth in the community with support from Oxfam GB. SARD has been able to emphasize the relevance of safe sex practices among the youth through several initiatives like peer educator selection and training, health camps, sensitization and capacity building workshops, etc. the programme has also facilitated the access of the target group to youth-friendly, gender sensitive and appropriate sources of information and services for HIV/AIDS prevention and care and sexual health. The community has been involved in all these efforts to a great extent. |
