     •   Jhalawar Child Labour Project

This project will address the Educational and Vocational needs of disadvantaged children aged 9-14, especially child labourers and migrants, who live in Jhalawar district of Rajasthan mainly, who are either out of school or never went to schools.

The program will benefit approximately 10000 (Direct and Indirect interventions) vulnerable children aged 9-14 through Remedial Centres, Bridge Centres which will contribute to better retention by preparing children for entrance to formal school and Vocational training for the needy girls & children with special needs which would lead to skill up gradation.

Overall Goal: To provide special education to children engaged in hazardous activities
Objectives: • Retain and provide quality primary education to enrolled   children integrated with vocational education
• To give special attention to children’s health through integrated   nutrition and regular medical check up
• To rehabilitate children involved in child labour through   meaningful vocational training and assistance
• Build a strong network of stakeholder for program sustainability   by strengthening linkages between them
• Resource mobilization with other donors for sustaining the   programme
• Consolidation and dissemination of the learnings from the   project
Strategies: • Establishment of special schools for child involved in hazardous   occupations
• SARD would Form apolitical Community Based Organizations   and PTCs
• Development of strong network with stakeholders and resource   agencies
• facilitate the process of community mobilization, awareness   generation, resource mobilization etc.
Primary Stakeholders: • children, parents of children enrolled in centres, community   members, child labour project, Jhalawar
